Jean Onnen Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 26, 2023, at the age of 92, Jean Onnen of David City, Nebraska, born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark Root and Nancy Catherine Harrod Root; her husband Dale Onnen; her parents-in-law, Herman and Marie Onnen; her aunt Malinda Root; her sisters, Margaret Stuart of Rushville and Kathleen Root of David City; her siblings-in-law, Elinor Wondercheck, Lucille Hutchinson, Jo Onnen, Richard Onnen, Don Wondercheck, Bill Stuart, Bob Hutchinson and Mort Tiensvold; her grandson Kenneth Matthew Lewis; and her son-in-law Cliff Prochaska.

She is survived by: her sister Beverly Tiensvold of Rushville, Nebraska; her daughters, Cynthia Divis (Wayne) of Dorchester, Shelley Lewis of Texas and Terri Prochaska of Columbus; her grandchildren, Nikki Divis of Lincoln, Angie Trummer (Matt) of Milford, Krissi Johnson (Rob) of Columbus, Samantha Ziemba (Nick) of Columbus, Malinda Crouse (John) of Texas and Wayne Divis (Amy) of Milford; her great grandchildren, Braden, Kale Divis of Lincoln, Maddox Blacketer, Ander Divis of Milford, Rylee Blacketer of Milford, Harlow of Columbus, Reagan of Columbus, Avaleigh Ziemba of Columbus, Braelyn Johnson of Columbus, Josseph Crouse (Sarah) and Jesi Cruz (Rodi) of Texas; and her great great grandchild George Crouse. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and friends.
