He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Divis and Ludmila Divis (Kudlacek); his wife Darlene Kresse; his siblings, Eleanor, Thomas and Leonard Divis; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Havlovic, Martha Divis and Bernetta Divis.
He is survived by: his children, Russ Divis (Bonnie), Rick Divis (Mary), Reyne Viergutz (Bob) and Rhonda Zavodny (Alan); and his siblings, Alice Havlovic, Donald Divis (Connie), Albert "Bud" Divis and Edward Divis (Rose Ann). He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren.
Gene had requested Masses be offered for him in lieu of flowers, plants or statues.
