He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph G. Svoboda and Rose E. Svoboda (Kozisek); his daughter Dawn Marie Pavel; and his brother Gerald Svoboda. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Goldie Palensky; his sister-in-law Judy Jakub; his wife Connie of David City; his son Robb Svoboda (Trudy) of Rising City; his grandchildren, Emma, Eli and Eric Svoboda (Shannon) of Wisconsin; his great grandchild Charleigh; his sibling Adrian Svoboda (Glennie); his parents-in-law, Leonard Palensky, Jr. (Loretta), Jerome Jakub, Julie Chmelka (Leonard McAullife), Ron Palensky (Tracy), Tim Palensky (Lisa), Tammy Ehrich (Richard Bachman), Carmen Broman (Kevin) and Pete Palensky (Re'Nee); and also, Josh, Ryan, Craig and Adam Pavel.
