He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Johnson of David City, Nebraska; his son Joe; his daughter-in-law Shawna Pope of Urbandale, Iowa; his grandson Aaron Carl Pope (Zoe); his sister Mary Margaret; and his brother-in-law Percy Pursell of Coquille, Oregon.
