He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Baer and Nell Baer (Donohoe); his wife Kate; his siblings, Donna Stephens, Bertha Rauscher, Lloyd Baer, Ina Lou Bohuslavsky and Daniel Baer; and his stepsons, Jim Wagner and Al Wagner.
He is survived by: his former wives, Leola Horacek and Kathleen Wagner; his children, Daniel Baer (Nancy) of Winside, David Baer of Elmwood, Roger Baer (Terri) of Branson, MO, Jenise Erikson (Scott) of Beatrice and Rebecca Duhr of Fairbanks, AK; his stepchildren, Rodney Wagner (Cindy) of West Point, Kevin Wagner (Dianne) of Fairbury and Vicky Wagner (Nettie) of Carlsbad, CA; and his stepdaughter-in-law Margaret Wagner of West Point. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
