He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Giebenrath and Emma Giebenrath; his brothers, Willard Giebenrath (Gerelda) and Harold Giebenrath (Esther); and his sons-in-law, Dale Andelt and David Muff.

He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Muff of Crete, NE; his granddaughter Tasha DeKok (Justin); his great grandchild Camille; and his son Anthony Muff of Crete, NE..
