He was predeceased by: his father Donald Manes; his pets, Moe and Maggie; and his father-in-law Lonnie Kennel. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Manes; his son Ben Archer; his wife Kate; his daughter Ellie (Jim); his pets, Norman, NoraBelle and Lucy; and his siblings, Jeanie Tucker (Kevin) and Wes Manes (Chris). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church (201 N Maple Ave, Davenport, NE 68335).

Memorials are to be directed to Hope Lodge Nebraska or American Cancer Society.
