The memory of Shirley Joan Boltz of Dannebrog, Nebraska, who passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Maddox and Martha Maddox (Keller); her husband Edward Boltz; her daughter Tammy; her siblings, Richard Maddox and Gwenlee Main; and her siblings-in-law, Delbert Wieger, Daryl Holt, Milton Swanson, Leonard Boltz, Gene Anderson and Phyllis Hedstrom (Herb).
She is survived by: her sons, Randy Boltz (Deb Stoltenberg), Allen Boltz (Pui) and Danny Boltz (Terri); her son-in-law Rob Serr; her sisters, Marlene Wiegert, Betty Holt, Ramona Swanson and Sharon Oakeson (Bud); and her sisters-in-law, Beverly Maddox, Eleanor Anderson and Lorraine Boltz. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Apfel Funeral Home (1123 W 2nd St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Pauls Lutheran Church (1515 S Harrison St, Grand Island, NE 68803).
