It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gale Smith of Dannebrog, Nebraska, born in Grand Island, Nebraska, who passed away on November 26, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fernando Smith and Zella Smith (Richardson); his wife Dancie Smith; and his siblings, Dale Smith, Don Smith, Wayne Smith and Shirley Ryberg.

He is survived by: his children, Kevin Smith (Robert) of Fort Worth, Texas and Kim Lewis (Brett) of Granbury, Texas; and his sisters, Arlene Kemplin of Evansville, Indiana and Karen Varrette of Evansville, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
