It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Molliann F. Heikes of Dakota City, Nebraska, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gilfert and Bess Gilfert; her husband Allen Heikes; her son Lance Heikes; and her grandson Taylor Shelly.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Shelly (Bill) of Littleton, Lona Pinkall (Eric) of Gretna and Leah McCrystal (Jim) of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; her grandchildren, Morgan, Paige Shelly, Cristina McCrystal, Colton, Sierra McCrystal, Lance Pinkall, Allison Pinkall and Luke Pinkall; and her great grandchildren, Olive, Poppy Shelly and Elsie McCrystal.
In lieu of flowers, (Yes, we realize it's weird that the flower lady did not want flowers, but she was insistent.) the family requests that donations be made to Salem Lutheran Church or Siouxland Youth For Christ or Siouxland Teens Encounter Christ and notes are sent to the family C/O Leah McCrystal.
