He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Phillips and Hazel Ruth Storey; his stepfather Mel Storey; his brother Robert Phillips, Jr. (Sherry); his nephew Jason Phillips (Amanda); and his pet Boo.
He is survived by: his sons, Bryan Phillips (Molly) of Frankfort, IL, Jeffrey Phillips of Rockford, IL and Danny Wright of Rockford, IL; his grandchildren, Gavin, Camden and Emery Phillips; his siblings, Frank Phillips (DeAnn), Brenda Phillips (Tom Hernandez), Mark Phillips and Danny Phillips (Patricia); his stepbrother Terry Phillips; his nieces, Ashley Phillips (Billy Smith), Brittany Davis (Blake), Cassie Phillips and Grace Phillips; his nephew Aaron Phillips (Emily); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Anna, TJ and Jayleah "Chuchu". He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
