It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Ray Risner Sr. of Dakota City, Nebraska, born in Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on March 6, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elden Risner and Eunice Risner (Wise); his son Eddie R. Risner Sr. (Marci) of Sioux City; his sister Patricia Gereau of California; his daughters, Candy Merryman and Sonja Risner; his siblings, Allan, Arthur Risner, Shelia Risner and Cecilia; his brothers-in-law, Thomas Stevens, Terry Gereau and Lowell E. Satterwhite; and his parents-in-law, Robert and Maxine Satterwhite.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Risner of Dakota City, NE; his daughters, Teresa Waybright (Michael) of Dakota City, NE and Rhonda Gunsolly (Tony) of Sioux City; his brothers, Cecil Risner (Delores) of Sioux City and Robin Risner (Maryann) of Sioux City; his siblings-in-law, Pamela Olson of Dakota City, Diana Risner of Oklahoma, Audrey Risner of Sioux City, Bonnie Olson of Sioux City, Sandy Wanderscheid of Sioux City, Alanna Satterwhite of Dakota City, NE, Robert Olson of Sioux City, Ricky Satterwhite of Dakota City and Robert Wanderscheid of Sioux City; his grandchildren, Samantha, Caitlyn, Blake of Dakota City, NE, Eddie Jr., Tatiana of Sioux City, Chad of Beresford, Tiffany, Tim of Sioux City, Troy of Lincoln, NE, Dusty and Brittany of Sioux City; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Jameson, Nora of Dakota City, Atreus of Beresford, SD, Aubree of Brookings, SD and Luna. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his best friend.
