Virgil Towne Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Towne (Curtis, Nebraska), who passed away on August 13, 2018, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Rowena Burton, Verle Nelson, Georgianna Ervin, William, Lawrence, Max, Melvin, Harold "Bees", Floyd and Leonard; and his stepdaughters, Betty Goldstein (Christensen) and Phyllis Christensen.
He is survived by: his daughter Virgil; his brother Leland of Grand Island; his stepchildren, Roberta Christensen of Denver, JoAnn Sortore of Denver and Jim Christensen of Curtis; and his grandchildren, Michael, Jerry, David Miller, Soren Goldstein, Ilana Lutz (Goldstein), Kristen Poland (Harwick) and Craig Harwick. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and 14 nieces and nephews.
