He was predeceased by: his parents, James Padgett and Lela G. Padgett (Lamb); his siblings, Jacqueline Padgett and Jim Padgett; his son Ron Padgett, Jr. (Bubby); and his grandson Colby Clark.

He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Padgett of Curtis; his children, Sheila Manley (Tom) of Red Cloud, Kristie Ward (Budd) of Whiteville, NC, Kim Bernard (Kevin) of Curtis, Jay Padgett (Krissen) and Shawn Padgett (Beth); and his siblings, Janet Vass (Harold) of Gothenburg, Cindy Padgett of Gothenburg and Gary Padgett of Gothenburg. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes, American Heart Association or Wounded Warriors.
