It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eva Mae Schmitz of Curtis, Nebraska, born in McCook, Nebraska, who passed away on September 1, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Kahler and Emma Kahler; her husband Cloid Schmitz; her siblings, Genevieve Welker, Neva Erway and Kenneth Kahler; her grandson Timothy Schmitz; and her son-in-law Jerome Cohen.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Cohen of Windsor, Colorado, Clayton Schmitz of Maywood, Bruce Schmitz (Chris) of Sutherland and Mari Doll (Jeff) of Council Bluffs, IA; and her siblings, Leon Kahler and Norma Welker. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Maywood and Curtis United Methodist Churches.
