She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Sisley and Sybil Sisley (Hutchinson); her spouse Lee Messersmith; her brothers, Don Sisley and Mick Sisley; and her daughter-in-law Colleen Messersmith.
She is survived by: her sons, Chuck Messersmith (Judy) of Alliance, J. S, Douglas Messersmith (Mari) of Palm Springs, CA and Terry Messersmith (Nel) of San Jose, CA; her grandchildren, Keal Messersmith (Ashley) of Lincoln, NE, Jacob Messersmith of Palm Springs, CA, Kimmy Messersmith of San Jose, CA, Lisa Heck of Denver, CO and Jill Hogan (Mike) of Omaha; and her sister Judy Haggard of Gering. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Hemingford Volunteer Firefighters Association or to the Hemingford United Methodist Church.
