He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Sughroue and Johanna Sughroue (Schutte); his wife Mary Vrbas of Culbertson; his children, Michelle Wurm (Kent) of Shawnee, KS, Crystal Sughroue of Hastings, NE, Stephanie Haag (Bill) of Danbury, NE, Tom Sughroue (Kim) of Indianola, NE and Josh Vrbas (Jessica) of McCook, NE; his sister Nellie Ryan; his sisters-in-law, Jean and Marge; his former wife Sharon Deon; his siblings, Gerald (Ann), Charles (late Rita), Don, Jim (Leah), Francis (Clayton Green) and Mary Lyons (Dale); and his brother-in-law Jim Ryan. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
On October 21, 2020 the Sughroue family lost a loving father, husband, uncle, cousin, and friend following a hospital stay at Tri Valley Health System in Cambridge as a result of Covid-19.
