He was predeceased by: his parents, Casper Guenther and Anna Guenther (Hendricks); his father-in-law Herman; his siblings, Elmer (Margie), Art (Martina), Earl (Leora), Lawrence, Norman (Donna), Richard Guenther, Mildred Schmid (Herman), Eileen Crespo (Danny), Betty Lou Helms (Dean) and JoAnn Nelson (Dean); his brothers-in-law, Jim Paulsen and Bill Boecker; and his grandson-in-law Michael Woolverton.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Paulsen; his children, Jane Johnson (Lou) of Nashville, TN, Steve Guenther (Jeani) of Papillion, NE, Lori Bengston (Rob) of Wausa, NE, Kelly Guenther (Carol) of Watertown, SD and Randy Guenther (Amy) of Lincoln, NE; his sister Carol Prebay (Ken) of Bridgeport, MI; and his siblings-in-law, Hedwig Guenther of Reesville, WI, Marlene Boecker of Crofton, NE, Darol Paulsen (Phylis) of Santa Ana, CA, Ralph Paulsen (Sara) of Yankton, SD and Jerry Paulsen (Jill) of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
