He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Filips and Minnie Filips (Ausdemore); his wife Genny; and his brothers, Arthur, Roman and Ed.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Elsasser of Omaha and Rhonda Schieffer (Kevin) of Yankton; his grandchildren, Megan Elsasser, Amanda Munson (J. R.) and Ryan Lammers (Ciara); his great grandchildren, Malachi Munson and Wyatt Lammers; and his sister-in-law Doris Filips. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
