It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Ann Beaty of Crete, Nebraska, born in Milford, Nebraska, who passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Pennington and Norma Pennington (Bosma). She is survived by: her daughter Gail Effken (Chris); her grandchildren, Ashley Prothro (Jim) and Christopher Effken (Stephanie); and her great grandchildren, Sophia, Heidi, Elizabeth, Charlie, James Prothro, Grace, Benjamin and Judah Effken. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
During COVID, Phyllis and Byron closed themselves in their home.
Byron and Phyllis were active in Square Dancing Club, the Rocky Mountain Rock Club, and the Neurofibromatosis Foundation.
