It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jackie Block of Creighton, Nebraska, who passed away on September 29, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Mattern and Emily Mattern (Huigens); her husband Gordon W. Block; her parents-in-law, August and Bessie Block; her brothers, William Mattern, Philip Mattern and Lawrence Mattern; her grandson Dana Ziegenbein; and her great grandchild Christian Heinrich.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Frank (Larry) of Verdigre, Susan Ziegenbein of Creighton, Thomas Block (Suzie) of Waterloo, Robert Block (Barbara) of Cary, NC, Neil Block (Sherry) of Omaha, Lola Mullins (Greg) of Marysville, MO and Patricia DeMuth (Tom) of Creighton; and her siblings, Mary Mathine, Alma Nestlebush, Madaline Luckert, Lois Johnson and Joseph Mattern. She is also survived by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
