He was predeceased by: his parents, Magdalene Liebentritt (Tschida) and Adolf Liebentritt; his wife Betty; his siblings, Clarence, Catherine and Margret; his daughter Carol; and his grandsons, Chris and Shawn Homrighausen.
He is survived by: his children, Lynne Oswald (Harold), Cindy Leichtnam, Julie Erisman (Don), Steve Liebentritt (Karen), Joe Liebentritt (Carol) and Robert Liebentritt (Linda). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 29 great- grandchildren.
