He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Whitten and Mabel Whitten; his wife Ada Louise Alden; and his granddaughter Meghan Leinweber. He is survived by: his daughters, Ada Lou "Skippy" Whitten (George Jarvis) and Donna Jean Leinweber of Topeka, KS; his grandchildren, Kirstie Gibbons (Sean) and Emily Leinweber; his great grandchildren, Levi Leinweber, Piper Leinweber, Logan Gibbons and Gavin Gibbons; his siblings, Ronald Edwards (Rita) of Boliva, MO and Corrine Ragan of Penrose, CO; and his cousin Norman Lee Whitten (Penny) of Grand Island, NE. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
