She is survived by: her husband Ronald Oates of Crab Orchard; her sons, Doug Oates (Caitlin) of Ypsilanti, Sean Oates of Crab Orchard and Kyle Oates of Lincoln; her granddaughter Riley Madison Oates; her siblings, Mike Wilcox of Beatrice, Mark Wilcox (Cathy) of Tennessee and Kathy Wilcox of Beatrice; her sister-in-law Jennie Oates of Beatrice; her nieces, Marnie Oates, April Wilcox, Tracy Hartley, Brenda Wilcox and Mikki Wilcox; her nephew Mark Trisler; and her great-nephew Dylan Oates.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Beatrice Mosaic campus and the family's choice.
