He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville B. Gerdes and LaVonne Gerdes (Trimble); his brother Orville Leroy Gerdes; and his sister-in-law Donna. He is survived by: his wife Linda Gerdes of Cozad; his sons, Craig Gerdes (Carolyn) of Shawnee, KS, Cory Gerdes (Melissa) of Alamo, CA, Andy Duis (Wendy) of Lincoln and Shane Duis of Cozad; his siblings, Roger Gerdes of Cozad, Dallas Gerdes (Becky) of Oconto and Connie Mosher; and his brother-in-law Frank. He is also survived by numerous nieces nephews and extended family.
