He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Fremont and Nancy Jane Putnam (Earll); his son Kelly; his siblings, Virginia, Dolly, Mary Jane, Ben and Lester; and his son-in-law Dave Malcom.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Brown; his children, Jess Putnam (Cherie) of Overton, Deb Malcom (Tobyn Thompson) of Callaway and Casey Joe Putnam of Cambridge; his grandchildren, Jess Jr. Putnam (Kyla) of Minden, Heather Dingwell (Randy) of Holdrege, Josh Putnam (Carrie) of Overton, Jenn Jackson (Jonath) of Cheyenne, WY, David Malcom (Michelle) of Roca, Clayton Malcom (Kait VerEllen) of Beatrice, Tyler Malcom (Anna) of Lincoln, Mike Putnam of North Platte and Patrick Wier of Cambridge; and his brother Leonard Putnam of Hildreth. He is also survived by 25 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Berryman Funeral Home (620 E 22nd St, Cozad, NE 69130). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
