He was predeceased by: his parents, Menn Ideus and Emma Johnson Ideus (Johnson); his grandparents, Margaretha Holz Ideus, John and Almt Johnson (Johnsen); his father-in-law Omar Hoffman; and his brothers-in-law, Lowell Smith and Russell Dorn.
He is survived by: his wife Tracy Hoffman-Ideus; his sons, Trenn of Cortland, Joey of Cortland and Ethan Hoffman-Ideus of Cortland; his siblings, Marlan Ideus (Sherrie) of Amherst, Eldon Ideus (Gaynelle) of Pickrell, Calvin Ideus of Wilber, James Ideus (Valoree) of Martell and Brenda Smith (Dennis) of Norfolk; his mother-in-law Betty Hoffman of Fairbury; and his siblings-in-law, Christine Smith of Fairbury, Becky Dorn of Beatrice and Charles Hoffman of Buffalo, WY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
