He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hanke and Marie Hanke (Keimig); his in-laws, Doc and Ida Horner; his brother Yogi Hanke; and his brother-in-law Clem McKamy.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Horner; his sons, Terry (Vickie) of Newport News, VA, Tim (Kristi) of Urbandale, IA and Todd (Kristi) of Omaha, NE.; his grandchildren, Jessica (Kiel), Samantha (Tyler), Tanner, Tea, Trey, Taryn and Taegren; his great grandchildren, Nash, Josephine, Paxton and Charlie; his siblings, Dale Hanke (Eldeen), Luke Hanke (Kathy), Janet McKamy and MaryKay Flegel (Ken); and his siblings-in-law, Doug Horner (Chris) and Caroline Hanke.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (562 17th Ave, Columbus, NE 68601).
In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials may be made to the family for future designation.
