It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Bialas in Columbus, Nebraska, born in Polk, Nebraska, who passed away on September 17, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Lloyd Bialas; her parents, John Swantek and Victoria Swantek (Hanzel); her siblings, Inez Sempek, Theresa Micek, John, Stanley and Richard Swantek; and her parents-in-law, Charles and Mary Bialas.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Bialas (Anna) of Grand Island, Kathy Wright (John) of Columbus, Joanne Bialas of Lincoln and Randy Bialas (Linda) of Holdrege; her grandchildren, Benjamin Bialas (Lisa) of Houston, TX, Bryan Bialas, Victoria Bialas of Omaha, Lauren Esch (Brandon) of Columbus, Megan Shumaker (James) of Lincoln, Jacob Wright of Omaha, Michael Wright of Norfolk, Jamie Bialas (Janessa), Tyler Bialas of Holdrege, Halle Bialas and Lexi Bialas of Lincoln; her great grandchildren, Blaine, Jameson Shumaker, Isabella, Isadora Bialas, Kinley and Owen Esch; her sister Marge Rinkol (Ray); and her parents-in-law, Walter Bialas (Beverly), Richard Bialas, Johnny Bialas (Maxine), Emily Bialas, Carol Swantek and Carolyn Swantek. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
