She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Schacht and Mildred Schacht Husband (Doug Barton); her brother Elden Schacht (Marian); her parents-in-law, Homer and Clara Barton; and her siblings-in-law, Noel Lautenschlager and Linda Keil.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Barton (Cindy) of Columbus, NE and Jan Hizer (Bill) of Sedalia, CO; her grandchildren, Crystal Weber (John), Stacey Fife (Dustin), Amy Borchers (Thad), Gary Hizer (Eliza), Kelsey Bockelman (Isaiah) and Derek Hizer (Emily); her brother Wayne Schacht (Julia); and her siblings-in-law, Carol Lautenschlager and Rick Keil. She is also survived by 11 Great Grandchildren, Seven nieces Five nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Peace Lutheran Church (2720 28th St, Columbus, NE 68601).
