It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marguerite Melcher of Columbus, Nebraska, who passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Behrens and Mary Behrens (Otterpohl); her husband Delwin Melcher; her daughter Kathy Rogers (Dave); and her siblings, Richard Behrens (Dorothy), Burnette Parks (Melvin), Luella Pfeifer (Ves), Maxine Pitzl (Leo) and Elaine Bender (Jake).
She is survived by: her children, Lawrence Melcher (Rita) of Grand Island, NE, Deborah Zimmerer (Bob) of Clovis, CA and Becky Foster (Rob); her grandchildren, Dawn, Amy, Scott, Jeff, Jessica and David; and her great grandchildren, Dalton, Nathen, Angelica, Sami, Blake, Emily, Liam, Lily and Michael.
A vigil service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the St. Isidore Catholic Church (3921 20th St, Columbus, NE 68601). Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
