With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lois Dohmen of Columbus, Nebraska, born in Lindsay, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lois left this world on October 28, 2024 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Formanek and Viola Formanek (Keller). She is survived by: her husband George Dohmen of Columbus; her children, Debi Mundt (Scott) of Chicago, IL, Robert (Lisa) of Colorado Springs, CO, Dennis (Carol) of Platte Center, Rick (Madonna) and Brian (Mary) of Lincoln; and her siblings, Shirley Jarecki (Dave), Larry Formanek and James Formanek (Theresa). She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St. Isidore Catholic Church (3921 20th St, Columbus, NE 68601). A vigil service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
