It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Doak of Columbus, Nebraska, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Doris' memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Doris' journey be filled with peace and serenity, as her find rest in the embrace of eternity.
She was predeceased by: her son Duane Hablitzel of York; her great grandchild Katlyn Marie Kelley (Marion Doak); and her brother-in-law Phil Sundberg. She is survived by: her children, Jeannette Rieken (Richard) of Clarks, Kris Girardin (David Graybill) of Columbus, Terri Kostal (Don) of Odell and Mark Hablitzel of Fullerton; and her sister Maxine Sundberg of Clarks. She is also survived by 2 nephews 12 Grandchildren 20 Great Grandchildren 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the McKown Funeral Home (2922 13th St, Columbus, NE 68601). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stromsburg City Cemetery (1412 Co Rd 126, Stromsburg, NE 68666).
