It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carylyn Runge of Columbus, Nebraska, who passed away on April 24, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband August; her father Henry Buss; her daughter Candice Lee Thornam; her mother Leona Buss; and her sisters, Zona Doerr and Kathryn Buss.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Muhle (Kurt) and Christine Luchsinger (Brad) of Columbus, NE; her grandchildren, Chad Muhle (Karleen), Heather Kudron (Cade) of Omaha, NE, Kayley Thornam, Joseph Thornam (Megan) of Colorado, Nick Luchsinger (Natalie) of Columbus, NE, Trevor Luchsinger of Columbus, NE, Cody Luchsinger (Lynsay) of Columbus, NE, A. J. Runge (Rose) of Columbus, NE, Tyler Runge (Jordan) of Columbus, NE and Bethany Wilke (Justin) of Columbus, NE; her great grandchildren, Braylen, Kyla Muhle, Crew, Rhyan, Blakely Kudron, Everly, Finley, Bradley, Beckham, Kane, Capri Luchsinger, Arabella, Brady, Kenzley Luchsinger, Isabelle, Vivienne, Gus, Emelynn Runge, Jaden, Ryker, Kade Runge, Kallen, Kason, Kam Wilke and Luke Thornam; and her siblings, Marylyn Bicknell of Lees Summit, MO and Henry "Hank" Buss of South Dakota. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (10785 280th St, Columbus, NE 68601). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
