She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Bokelman and Myrtle Bokelman (Welin); her husband Roland Heins; her sister Elaine; her brothers-in-law, Robert Zahn and Robert Berlin; and her great grandchild Francis Haberman.

She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Augustine Schulte (David) of Columbus, NE, Jeffrey Heins (Kelly) of Des Moines, WA and Pamela Erickson (Warren) of Yankton, SD; her grandchildren, Joshua Augustine of Omaha, NE, Jonathon Augustine (Liefsbeth DeCocker) of Lincoln, NE, Jennifer Augustine of Elkhorn, NE, Kelly Haberman (Ethan) of Lincoln, NE, Sgt. Chase Erickson (Cara) of San Diego, CA and Kasey Galvan-Hofer (Joshua) of Surprise, AZ; her great grandchildren, George Augustine of Lincoln, NE and Nora Augustine of Elkhorn, NE; her sister Bernetta Berlin of Columbus, NE; and her sisters-in-law, Linda Nissen of Lincoln, NE and Evelyn Heins of Lamesa, TX..

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (2200 25th St, Columbus, NE 68601). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or the donor's choice.
