It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles P. Potosnyak of Coleridge, Nebraska, who passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Potosnyak and Ludvina Marie Potosnyak (Fricke); and his daughter Hannah Potosnyak. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hartnett of Coleridge; his children, Lindsey Walton of Randolph, Rachel Gewock (Dave) of Coleridge, Laurel Potter (Bobby) of Wisner, Chuck Potosnyak (Torie) of Omaha, Robin Potosnyak of Colorado Springs, CO and Holly Potosnyak (Jason) of Lincoln; his stepchildren, Ellen Hartnett of Bloomington, IL, Julia Adams (Chris) of Sioux City, IA and Daniel Hartnett (Erin) of Omaha; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Walton, Ethan Walton, Gabe Gewock, Ashlynn Gewock, Jenna Gewock, Colton Sebade, Keaton Sebade, Siddaleah Potter, Alex Potter, Emileah Potter, Abel Potosnyak and Genevieve Adams; his sister Renee Scherr (Ronnie) of Milwaukee, WI; his nephews, Ben Scherr and Ryan Scherr; his niece Gina Scherr; and his great-nephews, Caden and Ryder Scheer.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (904 Logan St, Wayne, NE 68787). A prayer was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the family and will be used to honor Chuck's memory in a lasting way.
