He is survived by: his wife Elaine Funk of Clearwater, NE.; his children, Joellen Dooner of Gettysburg, PA, Ann (Tim Sydow) of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Aaron (Terra Kimes) of Neligh, NE, Nathan Kimes of Chicago, IL, Mary Louise (Steve Sadler) of Omaha, NE, John Paul Kimes and Elizabeth Anderson of LeMars, IA; his grandchildren, Ilsa, Emma, Juliet and Everett Dooner; his children, Krystopher, Bryce, Zach Sydow, Connor Bentley (Whitney), Chris Bentley (Lexi), Cambree Kimes, Cenze, Emma, Aubrey and Chase; and his great grandchildren, Wrenlee, Aiden Bentley, Rhett Bentley and Ella.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (50898 848th Rd, Ewing, NE 68735). A wake was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at the St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.
