Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Carole Jean Scherff of Clay Center, Nebraska, born in Hastings, Nebraska, who passed away at the age of 78, on October 28, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Byron Alberts and Valda Alberts (Mack); her brother Byron Neal; and her husband Lee. She is survived by: her pet Gracie; her siblings, Linda Ramsey (Bill), Lyle Alberts (Donna) and Kathy Mihm (Danny); her stepchildren, Monty Scherff (Terri), Candace Scherff and Terri Scherff; and her friends, Bruce, Lydia Smith of St. John, WA, Rich and Nancy Attebury of Moscow, ID. She is also survived by her step-grandchildren; one uncle, cousins, nephews and nieces.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Clay Center United Church of Christ (220 S Alexander Ave, Clay Center, NE 68933).
Memorials may be directed to Clay Center Fire and Rescue, (new ambulance fund) or the St. John Historical Society.
