She was predeceased by: her parents, John and Jennie (Meirath); and her close friend Lloyd Janssen. She is survived by: her children, Steve Wiese (Lynn), Marieta Hartwig (Rick), Janet Halpin (Tom) and Cheryl Wiese (John Iverson); her great grandchildren, Ryan Wiese (Iris), Lily, Jayden, Chris Hartwig, Micah, Kinley, Blakely, Cara White (Garrett), Maggie, Haddie, Knox, Easton, Crystal Linch (Jacob), Harper, Brooks, Payton, Taylor Halpin (Rachel), Chelsea Lee (Mike), Bailey and Shannon Manhart; her husband Herman Wiese of Pickrell, Nebraska.; her son Rodney; and her brother Virgil Wittler. She is also survived by six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren.
The lying in state was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel (708 N 6th St, Beatrice, NE 68310). Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 12:30 PM and from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (11412 NE-41, Clatonia, NE 68328). A prayer was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM at the same location.
A memorial has been established to the church with the funeral home and church elders in charge.
