He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Germer and Leona Germer (Essman); his parents-in-law, Arthur B. and Merna Wells; his stepmother Laura; his brother Gordon Germer; and his brother-in-law Arthur P. Wells.
He is survived by: his wife Glenola; his daughters, Patricia Lynne Novak of Red Oak, IA, Debra Sue Eckles (Terry) of Norfolk, Betty Lou Schuerman (Russ) and Nancy Mae Tupa (Gene) of Clatonia; and his sisters-in-law, Jan Germer of Seward and Alverta Wells of Plymouth. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the church with the church elders in charge.
