He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Sayers and Elsie Sayers (Hejtmanek); his wife Mary Lou Severa; his daughter Janet O'berg; and his brothers, George, Willis and Ernie Sayers.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Karel (Ken) of Clarkson and Gayle Sayers of Clarkson; his grandchildren, Becky Miller (Tom) of Pierce, Liz Druba (Brett) of Lincoln, Charlie O'berg of Kansas City, Rachel O'berg of Columbus and Cody O'berg (Aliychia) of Columbus; his great grandchildren, Easton, Avery, Crew Druba, Lorelei, Riley Miller, Jolene, Lane and Keegan O'berg; and his siblings-in-law, Audrey Sayers of Clarkson and Adolph Severa (Shirley) of Fremont.
In lieu of plants, flowers and statues memorials to the family for future designation Alvin R. Sayers was born February 15, 1933, near Leigh, Nebraska to Roy and Elsie (Hejtmanek) Sayers.
