He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Brunken; his parents, Milton Brunken and Louise Brunken; his siblings, Richard Brunken, Marrianne Longenecker and Sharen Brunken; his brothers-in-law, Robert Johnston and Ronald Tholen; and his nephew Wayne Brunken.

He is survived by: his siblings, Carl Brunken (Terry), Fern Boldt (Peter), Irene Johnston and Karen Tholen.
