She was predeceased by: her parents, Clinton Colby and Opal Colby (Shepard); her husband Edsel Matousek; her daughter Patricia Haas; her son-in-law Richard Haas; and her sister Betty Vanwinkle.

She is survived by: her son Phil Matousek of Elizabeth City, N. C; and her grandchildren, Brian, Audra Haas of Kearney, Lisa, Adam Neef of Olympia, Lori Haas, Max Mershon of Colorado and Joey Matousek of Elizabeth City, N. C..

Memorials should be directed to the family and will be designated at a later time.
