He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wilson Kopsa and Hattie Vaneta Kopsa (Peterson); his wives, Eilene Welch and Phyllis Gertison (Edwards); his siblings, Clair Kopsa (Gail), Don Kopsa (Elaine) and Betty Evert (Eldon); his niece Vicki Hallagin; and his stepdaughter Peggy Iwert.
He is survived by: his children, Vaneta Moore (Gerald) of Munden, KS, Rebecca Benyshek (Arlan) of Cuba, KS, Kevin Kopsa of Chester, NE, Lana Kopsa of Lincoln, NE and Becky Gausman (Mick) of Chester, NE; and his grandchildren, Andy Moore (Julinne) of Sabetha, KS, Luke Moore (Tracey) of Munden, KS, Daniel Moore of Munden, KS, Amber Versch (Jesse) of Hornick, A. J. Gausman (Abby) of Deshler, NE, Kyle Joy (Patty) of Sutton, NE, Laura Joy of Narka, KS, Tina Bramhall, Nikki Bays, Fred Iwert and John Iwert. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
