He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Cheleen and Martha Cheleen (Johnson); his brother Dayton Cheleen; and his siblings-in-law, Edna Courter, Clara Dickinson, Rita Powell, Edseil Newman, Albert, Clarence, Harvey and Jess Grasz.
He is survived by: his grandson Jason; his wife Beth; his children, Julie Huff (Ryan Dye), Jameson of Arthur and Jason Cheleen (Andie) of Chappell; his grandchildren, Kacey, Justin Huff, Ryan and Madison Cheleen; his sister Lorraine Newman of Redmond, WA; and his siblings-in-law, Sheila Cheleen, Vera Bottrell, Dorothy Krumm, Helen Powell and Vick Grasz. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial has been established to the Berea Lutheran Church.
