The passing of Dale Eugene Nielson of Chapman, Nebraska, born in Alliance, Nebraska leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 1, 2024 at the age of 87. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Nielson and Mary Nielson (Johnson); his siblings, Paul, John Nielson and Mildred Miller; his nephew Marvin Nielson; and his niece Marlene Miller.

He is survived by: his wife Levada Nielson; and his sons, Keith Nielson (Roxie), James Nielson (Sheri), Neal Nielson (April), Dale S. Nielson (Lisa), Steven Nielson (Cheryl), David Nielson (Carla), Deane Nielson (Rhonda) and Ronald Nielson (Jody). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two nephews; two nieces.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Apfel Funeral Home (1123 W 2nd St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Messiah Lutheran Church (122 W 7th St, Grand Island, NE 68801).

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Messiah Lutheran Church and the Elks National Foundation.
