He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dwinell and Mae Dwinell (Ostendorf); his wife Marlene; his grandson Caleb Dwinell; his brothers, James Dwinell and Harold Dwinell; and his brothers-in-law, Nelson Cornell and Dale Littlefield.

He is survived by: his children, Jason Dwinell (Wendi) of Wayne, NE, Bobbie Jo Miller (Chad) of Pierce, NE and Tanya Marcellus (Terry) of Chambers, NE; his foster son Bill Carrell; his grandchildren, Laurel Brunken (Kiel), Gabrielle Dwinell, Sarah Miller, Tristan Miller, Steven Marcellus (Amber), Tami Jo Pacha (Jacob) and Samantha Aldag (Alex); his great grandchildren, Averi, Everett and Ashtyn Brunken; his sister Bonnie Cornell of Clearlake Oaks, CA; and his sister-in-law Linda Littlefield of Colorado Springs, CO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
