It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Rae Crawford (Chadron, Nebraska), who passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Crawford and Muriel Crawford (Parkison); his in-laws, June and Bob Morris; and his son-in-law Gordon Petrie.
He is survived by: his wife Carla Simonson of Chadron; his children, Cindy Riley (Karl) of Kearney, Jeff (Michelle) of Gunbarrel, TX, Roger Walter of Chadron and Melanie Petrie of Lincoln; and his brother David (Dessa) of Battle Ground, WA. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Chadron Rescue. A memorial has been established for Chadron Rescue Unit.
