He was predeceased by: his grandfather Clarence Ray Robertson; his aunts, Susan Robertson Whitney and Nicky Robertson; and his sister Megan Campbell. He is survived by: his parent Donald Lynn Nelson I.; his wife Kendra; his children, Eli, Riley, Graclyn and Bailey; his mother Cindy; his stepfather Tim Ober; his siblings, Alicia Van Gundy (Jeff) and Stewart Campbell (Jessie Mae); and his grandmothers, Tommie Robertson and Vicki Nelson. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
