He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lloyd Hussey and Eva Hussey (Mann); his wife Aletta Schmechel of Whitney, NE; his daughter Cindy Everett; his grandchildren, Shawna Bolejack (Scott), Nicole Thompson (Justin) and Travis White (Shayla); his brother Fred Hussey (Frances); and his daughter Deborah Dee White. He was also cherished by many cousins, nieces, nephews; six great-grandchildren; and many, many friends.

A memorial has been established for the Chadron Public Schools Foundation or the Hussey Family Memorial Scholarship at Chadron State Foundation.
